5 things to know about Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons

If you’re thinking about picking up Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons, there are a few things you should know.

We’ve read the entire book, and you can check out our long, spoiler-filled review.

But for a quick glance, check out our YouTube video from Althuzar the Wizard above or check these five fast facts:

Fizban’s puts the Dragons back in Dungeons & Dragons. It’s a comprehensive guide to dragons, introducing the gem dragons and covering dragons and dragon-related monsters of all kinds.

You can build entire campaigns around dragons, their hoards and their secret lairs more easily than ever before. There are whole chapters filled with roleplaying tips, maps, tables and guides to make it simple for you.

You can play as three new types of dragonborn ancestry and two dragon-based subclasses. And if that’s not enough, you can add some draconic traits or one of three draconic feats (essentially reactions — breath weapon, magic protective wings — to being attacked).

There are seven new types of dragons: the six gem dragons plus the deep dragon. The gem dragons are essentially psionic dragons with wild and surprising powers, perfect for throwing at veteran players who think they know everything.

If your game revolves around dragons, you need this book. Seriously. There is everything you need to know about dragons in there.
